About us –
The Åre Source

Skier atop a snow-covered peak under a sunny sky, overlooking a winter landscape.

We truly believe that the natural mineral water we offer bring out excellent beneficial effects for the human body. During the late 19th century, people began visiting the valley to cure and expose themselves to the high-altitude air. Hence, we bottle our water on-site, directly in the heart of Åre.

From the heart of Åre

Åre’s crisp alpine landscape provides a unique environment for natural filtration. Layers of rock and sand, dating back to the Ice Age, has slowly been shaping the purity of the water. Being a historic health resort known for its fresh air and clean water, Åre is untouched by industry, large-scale agriculture and major highways.

Exceptional quality

Åre’s crisp and alpine landscape provides a unique environment for a natural filtration process within the source, where its formation of layers of rock and sand initially date back to the ice age. Due to a moderate temperature in the bedrock, small blends of natural mineral salts enable our water to obtain a high oxygen saturation of 83%. Choose Åre Water for its exceptional quality, pure taste, and dedication to protecting the environment.

a Cleaner Future

We have a strong will to preserve our unique environment and take measures towards a sustainable perspective, where every decision is linked to the responsibility of minimizing our carbon footprint. Our entire production is environmentally sustainable – from self-pressurized pumps that extract our water from the source, to renewable energy that powers machines and heats our factory during the colder seasons.

Calculating our carbon footprint

Every action contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, measured as carbon dioxide equivalents (CO₂e). These are often referred to as “carbon footprint” or, for all greenhouse gases combined, “climate footprint.”

To take responsibility for our impact, we’ve conducted a comprehensive climate calculation, mapping emissions across our entire production chain. This data forms the basis of our climate compensation, conducted in partnership with Atmoz Consulting AB – Climate solutions for the companies of the future.

our history

Pilgrims have passed through this valley since the 1100s and the pilgrimage trail still runs just outside our factory. Åre is a place steeped in culture, coexisting in harmony with the Sami people and their reindeer. Here, there is a deep commitment to preserving the region’s rich traditions, as well as the pristine beauty of nature. And when night falls, the skies above Åre are illuminated by the magical Northern Lights, adding to the enchanting atmosphere of this extraordinary place.
